About Michael Ater

Michael Ater did not grow up on a farm, but he grew up in the farming community of Frankfort, Ohio in Ross County. That is where his interest in machinery started. Early in Michael’s childhood, he took an interest in lawn and garden equipment, mainly Wheel Horse garden tractors. As time went on, his attention turned to Farmall and International Harvester tractors, trucks, and most farm related things. His career has been spent in Central and Southern Ohio in the lawn and garden industry, automotive manufacturing, and the agriculture industry in various capacities.

Michael resides outside of London, Ohio with his son Eric who will be entering high school. In his spare time, Michael can be found at Eric’s sporting events, attending antique tractor shows, collecting IH and farm-related equipment and memorabilia, in his RV camping in and around Ohio, or working on a house or tractor project.

Michael’s role at the Urbana location is store manager and equipment salesman. His goal is to grow the business in west/central Ohio and beyond while still offering excellent support during and after the sale.
